The facts of climate change have been on the table for a long time, but who wants to face the technical facts? In collaboration with the Institute of Geography at the University of Zurich, I explored visual communication methods to make the scientific facts accessible through an appealing design. The aim was to provide food for thought on the current climate debate, illustrating the dramatic dimensions of climate change in a surprising way. An exploration of form and color gave rise to associations with the various facts of climate change. This inspiration resulted in this poster of storm surges in shades of blue and the shape of a vortex.

Die Fakten des Klimawandels sind schon lange auf dem Tisch, doch wer mag sich die technischen Fakten zumuten? In Zusammenarbeit mit dem geografischen Institut der Universität Zürich habe ich mich mit visuellen Kommunikationsmethoden auseinandergesetzt, um die wissenschaftlichen Fakten durch eine ansprechende Gestaltung zugänglich zu machen. Ziel war es, einen Denkanstoß zur aktuellen Klimadebatte zu leisten, welche die dramatischen Dimensionen des Klimawandels auf überraschende Weise veranschaulicht. In einer Auseinandersetzung mit Form und Farbe sind Assoziationen zu den unterschiedlichen Fakten des Klimawandel entstanden. Aus dieser Inspiration ist dieses Plakat der Sturmfluten in Blautönen und der Form eines Wirbels entstanden.

Les faits concernant le changement climatique sont sur la table depuis longtemps, mais qui aime s’infliger les faits techniques ? En collaboration avec l’Institut de géographie de l’Université de Zurich, je me suis penché sur les méthodes de communication visuelle afin de rendre les faits scientifiques accessibles grâce à un design attrayant. L’objectif était d'apporter une réflexion au débat actuel sur le climat, qui illustre de manière surprenante les dimensions dramatiques du changement climatique. La confrontation avec la forme et la couleur a donné lieu à des associations d'idées sur les différents faits liés au changement climatique. De cette inspiration est née cette affiche des marées de tempête dans les tons bleus et en forme de tourbillon.
